Since Convergency Autism Services is comprised of advocates, therapists, social workers and a large network of specialists to provide personalized care of families across GTA. We offer a combination of in-home, center-based, and school community services for children with disabilities. We strongly believe that our model of incorporating Centre based with inhome services is the best for our learners and their families.

Here at Convergency we have a unique approach to your care.  Our goal is to help streamline and make the obtaining of service a little less confusing and scary.  To ensure that our care is always family centered, we have partnered with many professionals from a variety of different backgrounds this includes advocates, therapists, Social Workers, case coordinators, BCBAs and Psychologists.

ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis)

less than 20 hours per week

ABA is a proven teaching method founded and structured activities to help children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)and other disabilities acquire new skills while providing tools for unwanted behaviour. Your child can benefit from improved learning and communication skills through continual positive reinforcement within routine situations.  The goal is also to improve reasoning skills, motor skills, behaviours, and solutions for managing challenges.

IBI (Intensive Behavioural Intervention)

more than 20 hours per week

In some cases, a more intensive version of a ABA may be required to help lay the foundation for maximizing functionality and improvement for those in need of more involved care.  IBI draws upon the same principles as a BA in a more intensive manner, which can include many hours focusing on certain skills to help children with autism make strides and keeping up with their peers.

Respite/Tutoring

Do you just need a break?  Does your child need a bit of extra help with their homework?  We have trained tutors and we provide high quality respite care as well.

Advocacy

Confused about the process to have your child get supports in school? Need help understanding reports and filling out funding applications?  Need counseling,  SLP or OT consult?  We are here to support and help.  Whatever you and/or your family needs we are here to support you and give you the support, and information you need to make the best decisions for your child and family.  Unsure if you child is getting the proper programming and assistance at school? We have extensive experience with the IPRC (Individual Placement Review Committee) process and creating IEP’s ( Individual Education Plan) for school and ensuring that you are accessing all funding options available to your child and family.  If you don’t see a service mentioned feel free to reach out and we will do our best to help.
