At the Heart of Care
About Convergency Autism Services
At Convergency Autism Services, we are dedicated to transforming the lives of children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through personalized, evidence-based therapy. Founded in 2018, our mission is to empower individuals with autism by providing comprehensive and holistic care that nurtures their unique strengths and abilities.
Our Approach
We take a whole-child, family-focused approach to autism therapy, blending Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), speech and language therapy, and early intervention programs to ensure meaningful progress. Our experienced therapists, including SLPs, OTs, and psychotherapists, create individualized programs tailored to each child’s needs.
Aparna Sanwalka
Aparna Sanwalka is a seasoned professional in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis with over 25 years of experience. As a dedicated education advocate and leader in the autism community, Aparna combines her extensive professional expertise with personal insights as a mother raising a son with autism. This unique blend of experiences allows her to deeply connect with families, offering not only professional guidance but also genuine empathy and understanding.
Many families face long waitlists for ABA therapy, delaying crucial early intervention and causing stress and frustration. Navigating government funding, such as the Ontario Autism Program (OAP), can be overwhelming due to complex paperwork and eligibility requirements. Additionally, families often struggle to find qualified and compassionate providers who offer individualized, family-centered care.
Aparna believes in a personalized, family-centered approach, tailoring ABA programs to each child's unique strengths and challenges. Her lived experience as an autism mom provides a deeper connection with families, offering real-world strategies and empathy. Beyond therapy, Aparna and her team assist families with funding applications, school collaboration, and behavioral support, ensuring comprehensive support throughout their journey.
Families trust Convergency Autism Services because of their commitment to evidence-based, ethical ABA practices that prioritize the child's well-being and long-term success. Aparna's dedication to supporting children with autism is reflected in her ability to help them develop essential life skills, improve communication, and build confidence.
Our mission as autism specialists is to empower individuals with Autism through personalized, evidence-based therapies tailored to their unique needs.

In 2019, Aparna established the ARS Scholarship in honor of her late brother, which supports secondary education students connected to or serving the autism community. Her voice was also heard at Queen’s Park, where she spoke in favor of Bill 13, a piece of legislation that was later enacted into law. Aparna’s dedication to supporting the autism community extends to her participation in events like the Special Olympics Ontario, where she represented and advocated for individuals with autism.
